Since the beginning of its history, in 2012, Rio Energy has demonstrated its concern and commitment to ethical precepts and integrity in the execution of its activities.

The people who are part of our team have always received clear guidance regarding the essential predicate for belonging to the Rio Energy team – ethics. Ethics is, for us, a precondition for working at or for Rio Energy. Here, we don’t take shortcuts. We are committed to the highest standards of integrity and adopt a zero-tolerance policy for unethical behavior, discrimination of any nature and acts of corruption in any instance.

In 2023, just over 11 years after its birth, Rio Energy begins a new phase in its history, now being a company of the Equinor Group. In this new context, we began to adopt Equinor’s Code of Conduct, which contains the main guidelines for our actions in carrying out our activities. This document reflects all the commitment and care with ethical precepts, the defense of human rights and the social and economic values that permeate our projects.

We remain passionate about what we do, doing our best to contribute to a clean future. And not just with the generation of renewable energy, but also and mainly through our actions, always guided by transparency and ethics.

Communication and Transparency for a cleaner future.

This is a channel for secure and, if desired, anonymous communication of potential unethical conduct that violates current legislation or our internal policies, involving Rio Energy employees or third parties related to it.

This channel is centrally supervised by Equinor. The recorded information will be received and managed by an independent and specialized company, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate treatment of each situation.

The channel can be used 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
